The Mindfulness Practice Community of Houston meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at 1712 Fairview (rear building, please enter through the courtyard door). Our usual program consists of an hour of sitting and walking meditation, chanting and incense offering, and the program for the evening.
In the spirit of mindfulness, please arrive in time to be seated before the first period of meditation begins at 6:00 PM.
Out of respect for those with sensitivities, please do not wear fragrance.

July 16 Practices for Happiness - Metta meditation This evening we will look at the practice of metta meditation - cultivating loving kindness
July 23 Compassion - Inside and Out We will discuss and experience Compassion meditation this week. Please bring your ideas about how you are compassionate and how your compassion sometimes is difficult to find. We are all in the same boat.
July 30 The Discourse on the Eight Realizations of the Great Beings We will continue our study and discussion of this foundation sutra.
