May 20 The Many Faces of Suffering: The third of a series on The Art of Suffering & Happiness
May 27 Buddha’s Birthday Following periods of sitting and walking meditation, we will celebrate the Buddha’s birthday by bathing the Buddha. Vesak commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing away (parinirvana) of Shakyamuni Buddha. We believe that each one of us has the capacity to become a Buddha. We bathe the baby Buddha as a practice to touch the Buddha within ourselves.
