Monthly Calendar

Weekly Meetings

Our Sunday evening programs are returning to our original two hour format which includes sitting and walking meditation for the first hour, a short break, and Dharma presentation and sharing during the second hour.

Directions to join us in person: We meet in the chapel of the Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church, 2025 W 11th St, at the intersection with T C Jester, and right next to the White Oak Bayou Greenway. The outside door leading  to the chapel is on the east side (bayou side) of the main sanctuary. There is a small parking lot on that side of the church as well. If you park in the main lot on the west side of the church, you will need to walk around to the chapel door or, from the main (west) lot you can drive around the back of the complex to the lot near the chapel entrance. The rest of the church will be locked, and there is no access other than the outside door nearest the chapel.

Health guidelines: Masks are not required, but you are welcome to wear one. If you are not feeling well, please join us from your home on Zoom.

Note:  Every 5th Sunday there is no regular practice.  We usually meet, instead, at a restaurant for dinner and fellowship.  See below for more information.

On Wednesdays we gather VIRTUALLY for meditation (20 - 30 minutes), listen to a reading, and take the opportunity to enjoy silent contemplation on the topic of the reading. This program lasts approximately one hour. Click here for direct zoom link  (password: 3Jewels)

5th Sunday Fellowship

Every 5th Sunday, in lieu of our regular Sunday meditation practice and Dharma talk, we like to meet up somewhere for dinner and fellowship.  This is an opportunity for us to continue to foster strong relationships within our sangha and for newcomers to get to know us in a more casual setting.  All are welcome, and encouraged, to join us.

Note: We do not meet on the 5th Sunday for our regular Sunday Meditation programming.

Our next 5th Sunday Fellowship will be at:

Sunday, September 29, 2024 with Time and Location  to be announced

Annual Fall Retreat on November 7th - 10th, 2024

Join us for our annual fall retreat at American Bodhi Center with Dharma Teacher Michael Ciborski. This residential retreat is designed for both beginning and experienced practitioners. It will center on periods of sitting and walking meditation and Dharma talks by our teacher. There will be small-group Dharma discussions, meal meditations, and active, mindful work practice. Periods of silence will deepen and enrich the experience by allowing time for personal reflection.
