A limited number of partial scholarships are available to help reduce financial barriers to attending the retreat. Thanks to the generosity of our Sangha community, we are able to offer financial assistance to practitioners who would otherwise find it difficult to attend.
We warmly invite anyone who would benefit from financial assistance to apply for a scholarship. In keeping with the Plum Village tradition's commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, we encourage applications from those who have historically faced barriers to retreat participation, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Wake Up practitioners, students under age 25, and those currently receiving unemployment benefits. Our heartfelt hope is that cost will not be a barrier for anyone who wishes to attend.
The scholarship application deadline is Monday, September 7, 2026 (Labor Day) at 5:00 pm CST. If funds remain after the first round of awards, we will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis.
Please fill out and submit the online registration form.
To ensure our scholarship funds benefit as many practitioners as possible, we ask scholarship applicants to register for either a dorm room or a cubicle with a shared bath.
If you have any questions or concerns about accommodations, feel free to contact the MPCH Retreat Committee at retreat@mpchouston.org.
No payment is required at the time of registration for those applying for financial assistance.
Please note: The scholarship application deadline is September 7th at 5:00 pm CST. Retreat registration closes on October 16, 2026, but space is limited and may fill earlier. We encourage you to apply and register as soon as possible to secure your spot.
Please fill out and submit the scholarship application form.
We will notify you as soon as scholarship decisions have been made.
